How much will customs fees be for shipping to the USA? (tariff)

Yes, U.S. tariffs and import charges will apply. As our products are manufactured and shipped from Ireland, orders delivered to the United States are treated as imports and may be subject to U.S. import duties, tariffs, state taxes and courier or brokerage fees.

These charges are set by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and are paid by the importer.

Tariff rates can change and depend on the product type, country of origin, HTS code, declared value and U.S. customs rules in force when your order enters the United States. For this reason, we cannot provide a guaranteed fixed percentage as a general estimate.

As a guide, recent prepaid customs charges have often averaged around 10%–20%, but each delivery is calculated individually and the final amount may be higher or lower.

Where available, we recommend using our prepaid duties and taxes option at checkout. This allows the expected import charges to be calculated before shipment, so the amount is fixed at the time of payment and you should not normally receive additional customs duty or tariff charges on delivery.

If duties are not prepaid, the courier will usually contact you before delivery to collect any duties, tariffs, brokerage or processing fees due.

Prepaid import duties (DDP - Delivered Duty Paid) are unavailable for palletized shipments. Bulk freight regulations and customs charges vary based on the final destination and shipment size, you must settle all duties, taxes, and import fees directly with your courier upon delivery.

You may also use your own customs broker or have charges billed to your UPS or FedEx account. If you would like to do this, please provide the broker details or courier account number before shipment.
