My Bulb Flickers When I Use a Dimmer Switch. How Do I Stop This?

Essentially, you need to find out if your dimmer switch is compatible with the bulb/lamp you are using.

 
Are the bulbs you are using dimmable? The light fitting itself is dimmable when fitted with a suitable dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer switch.
